Absolutely. Our Free plan has no time limit—use it as long as you need to evaluate Port. For larger teams that want to pilot with more capacity, we offer time-limited trials of paid plans. Contact us to discuss your needs.
Port is a cloud-native SaaS platform. For Enterprise customers with strict data residency or security requirements, we offer flexible deployment options including dedicated tenancy and Private Link connectivity. Contact our team to discuss your specific requirements.
A seat is any authenticated user or service account that accesses Port during your subscription period. Access includes activity via the web app, API, Slack app, IDE extension, or other Port interfaces—such as viewing data or performing actions.
Deleted or disabled users continue to count as seats until they have been inactive for 4 months. Seats assigned to users can only be reassigned after 4 months of inactivity.
Service accounts always count as seats.
An entity is any uniquely identifiable item in your software catalog, such as services, repositories, environments, or cloud resources. Users, teams, and scorecards are excluded. Each entity is counted once, regardless of how often it syncs or updates.
A run occurs each time Port executes an action or automation, such as creating a Jira ticket, sending a Slack message, or provisioning infrastructure. Runs executed manually from the Port UI are excluded from usage limits and are not counted toward your run quota.
